Martin Wolf is associate editor and chief economics commentator at the Financial Times, London. His many awards include the CBE (Commander of the British Empire) in 2000 for services to financial journalism. In 2005, he was given First Magazine’s “Special Advocacy Award” at its annual Award for Responsible Capitalism. His most recent publication is “Why Globalization Works” (Yale University Press, 2004). “Sustaining Growth: the century’s biggest challenge.”

Before heading west in 1971, Richard McCord wrote for one of the country’s largest newspapers, Newsday in New York. He founded the weekly Santa Fe Reporter in 1974, and was its editor and copublisher until 1988. Arin McKenna moved to Santa Fe seven years ago and is still reveling in the profusion of arts after living too many years in cultural wastelands. She interviewed a diverse array of visual and performing artists while hosting “Art Tour Santa Fe” on KTRC Radio. Arin is a frequent contributor to the Santa Fe New Mexican’s special issues and also writes for New Mexico Magazine; both her writing and her radio interview have received national awards. Her panel feature, “Six Santa Fe Musicians Share Their Views.”

Over the past 20 years, David Prince‘s words on music have appeared in nearly every Santa Fe and Albuquerque newspaper and magazine, as well as in a host of national publications. He has written liner notes for albums of jazz, rock and classical music, contributed to a jazz album guide book, and been a radio producer/host and a photographer of musicians both on- and off-stage. Michael Clark, owner of Tropic of Capricorn, has been in the horticulture and landscape business in Santa Fe for 28 years. He worked on the city tree program, helped instigate Arbor Day in the schools, and cofounded the Santa Fe Botanical Garden. He specializes in tropicals, orchids and cacti, and teaches gardening classes that focus on xeriscapes. “Dig It.”

Fomer NPR/BBC correspondent Betsy Model contributes to more than 30 national and international publications. She has reviewed “Photography New Mexico,” an exciting just-released coffee table book brimming with 200 images that depict the unique geographic and socio-cultural qualities that contribute to New Mexico’s status in American photography. “Photography New Mexico.”

Robert McDowell‘s poems, stories, essays and reviews have appeared in hundreds of magazines and anthologies including Best American Poetry, Poetry, The New Criterion, and The Hudson Review.
